Website Design for Cafés
Somebody is standing on your street at 8:40am deciding between you and the place two doors down. They've got your name from a sign or a friend, and they're checking one thing on their phone: are you open, and what have you got.
If that takes more than a few seconds to find out, they've gone next door. That is the whole argument for a café website, and it's why "we've got an Instagram" isn't quite the same thing.
What's included
Five pages, live by day five:
- A home page with your hours, your address and a photo that looks like your room actually looks.
- A menu page that reads properly on a phone, no pinching, no PDF that takes ten seconds to open and then arrives sideways.
- An about page, because where you roast, who bakes, and how long you've been on that corner is the reason people pick you over a chain.
- A find us page with a map and one tap for directions.
- A contact page for functions, catering and the emails you'd rather get in writing.
Plus opening hours that know when you're shut, including public holidays, an email address on your own domain, and a dashboard where you change the menu yourself when a price moves. Or text us and it's done by 5pm.
Hosting and backups are free for two months, then $5 a month.
Why it matters for cafés
Your menu changes and your website usually doesn't. That's the problem with most café sites: the flat white price is two years old and the specials board hasn't been updated since the site went up. Ours is built so you can change a price in about twenty seconds, from your phone, behind the counter.
Hours are the most-checked thing you own. Not the menu, the hours. Public holidays especially, when half your customers are guessing. A page that answers that correctly, automatically, saves you a morning of phone calls.
Google shows your website next to your listing. Your Google Business Profile does a lot of heavy lifting and you should keep it. But it's rented ground, the layout is Google's, and it can't tell somebody why your place is worth walking past three others for. A website can.
You keep your domain, your existing email and your Google listing. We don't touch any of it without telling you first.
